“Get in the Knole”

27 July 2015
Be the first

The first thought as the GolfScoreLIVE team arrived at Knole Park was trying to remember when we had last enjoyed venison! There were ‘Bambi’s’ everywhere, and with the mist rising it was utterly picturesque!

The competition was organised by Bespoke Golf Events, Benn Barham’s business and was a best 2 from 4 Stableford Pro-Am event, a 24 team field, raising money for the Demelza charity.

The Knole Park course is regarded as one of the top 100 courses in the UK, and was set up perfectly, in both quality and toughness, it was appreciated certainly by all the participating players. Being a more ‘traditional’ course, buggies are not present which made the ‘on course’ spectating by the GSL team challenging. We all certainly slept really well following the event.

Team Crawley, and Etchinghill had a real ‘ding dong’ battle at the top of the leaderboard, Steve Mitchell, the pro in the Etchinghill team highlighted in his winning speech how the ‘Live’ scoring facility had enhanced both his and his 78-year-old Dad as they played the back 9. A great advert for our product, and service.

A lavish BBQ followed the event, and then Ed Giddins, part of the winning team, and MC for the day then ran a Live auction, raising funds for the Demelza charity. Another great event, at a great venue, and with ‘Live’ scoring enhancing the day.
